Da-Eun Jeong (Seoul Center for Architecture & Urbanism) <기록의 재건>은 세운일대의 도시기록들을 하나둘씩 찾아가는 여정이다. 연구자 뿐만 아니라 관심이 있는 시민들도 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 그 길을 안내한다. 오늘날 기록의 재생산시대에 현재의 도시기록과 과거의 기록 자료에는 모두 도시에 대한 관심이라는 공통점이 있다. 다양한 주체가 기록을 생산하고 소비하는 현상은 도시건축 프로젝트도 영향을 주고있다.

<기록의 재건> 1부에서는 세운일대 다양한 기록에 담긴 관점들을 탐험한다. 전반부에는 도시기록의 범주에 속했던 현장 뿐 아니라 일상 속에 기록되는 디지털 현장으로 그 시선을 확장했다. 세운일대의 도시 기록들은 미래를 위한 도시계획서, 사전의 도시조사와 데이터 뿐 아니라 나의 스마트폰 전자지도 안에도 있을 수 있다. 후반부는 두 연구자가 세운 일대 영향을 끼쳤던 15권의 도시계획서를 서울도서관에서 찾고 그 안에 담긴 조사들에 대해 나눈 대화형식으로 구성된다. 대화에 등장하는 다양한 세운일대의 도시계획 기록에서 우리는 조사를 그 자체로 그 시대의 관점을 볼 수 있다.

<Reconstruction of Urban Records> is a discovery journey of relevant urban records that have been affecting the Sewoon district. It is a kind guide to access and follow the route not just for researchers but for citizens with interest. Once we find a common interest in the urban records between contemporary live documentation and past historic materials in the era of reproduction of data, the phenomenon of prosumer participation in urban documentation will thrive urban issues into planning.

<Reconstruction of Urban Records> Part 1 explores diverse perspectives on a series of archives. First, we expand the realm of documentation towards concurrent digital urban records of everyday lives such as SNS, map service, and search engines, not just from the research documents and materials. The journey is followed by two researchers’ short trip to Seoul Library where they found fifteen books of urban planning ranging from 1966 to 2020. They continue dialogues about how the survey and documentation have been conducted in order to be evident in the policy and politics at that time.
