김하나는 서울대학교 건축학과 겸임강사이자 BK사업단 연구원으로, 근대기 도시사ㆍ건축사를 전공하여 관련 연구를 지속적으로 수행해 오고 있다. 근대기 영등포의 공업지역 형성과 그에 따른 서울과의 관계 변화에 관해 박사학위논문을 작성한 이후, 공업도시 계획과 산업유산에 특히 관심을 지니고 평양, 청진, 신의주, 함흥 등 북한 공업도시의 형성과정과 도시계획, 산업유산에 대한 연구를 수행해 왔으며, G밸리 연구는 이러한 연구의 연장선상에서 진행하였다. 또한 산업지역 외에도 서울 후암동, 사직동, 신문로, 그리고 부평, DMZ 등 여러 지역의 근대기 이후의 도시사 및 건축사 연구를 진행해 왔다.

Ha-na Kim is an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Seoul National University and a researcher at the BK Project. She majored in modern urban history and architecture, and has been continuously conducting related research. She wrote a doctoral dissertation on the formation of an industrial area in Yeongdeungpo in the modern era and the change in relations with Seoul. With interest in industrial city planning and industrial heritage, she conducted research on the formation process, urban planning and industrial heritage of North Korean industrial cities such as Pyongyang, Cheongjin, Sinuiju, and Hamheung. The G Valley study was conducted as an extension of this study. In addition to industrial areas, she has been conducting research on urban and architectural history since the modern period in various areas such as Huam-dong, Sajik-dong, Sinmun-ro, Bupyeong, and DMZ.

이연경은 연세대학교 건축공학과를 졸업하고, 동대학원에서 건축역사이론 전공으로 석박사를 취득하였다. 제6회 심원건축학술상을 수상하였으며 인천대학교 지역인문정보융합연구소에 재직하고 있다. 저서로는 『인천, 100년의 시간을 걷다』(공저), 『한성부의 '작은 일본' 진고개 혹은 本町』 및 『사진으로 만나는 개항장 인천의 경관』(공저)이 있으며, 19세기 말 이후 서울을 비롯한 동아시아의 도시들이 겪은 근대화와 식민화의 과정을 사람들의 일상생활과 도시환경, 그리고 건축의 측면에서 바라보는 데에 관심을 가지고 지속적으로 연구를 진행 중이다.

Yeonkyung Lee is working at Incheon National University as a research professor. She graduated from Department of Architecture in Yonsei University in 2002 and got Ph.D in Architecture with research of Space and Society of Japanese Settlement in Seoul from 1885 to 1910, focused on changes of urban environment from the Graduate School of Yonsei University in 2013. She was awarded the 6th Simwon Architectural Academic Awards. She has continued to study urban changes of modern cities in the aspect of everyday life.

조정구는 1966년 서울 보광동에서 태어나고 자랐다. 서울대학교 건축학과와 동 대학원을 졸업하고, 일본 도쿄 대학교에서 박사과정을 거쳤다. 2000년 구가도시건축을 설립하고 ‘우리 삶과 가까운 보편적인 건축’에 주제를 두고 지속적인 답사와 설계 작업을 하고 있다. 20년간 진행한 ‘수요답사’를 통하여 서울의 수많은 동네와 사람들이 사는 모습을 찬찬히 관찰하고 기록해왔다. 그 속에서 발견한 다양한 삶의 형상을 바탕으로 ‘우리 시대의 집’을 찾는 작업을 꾸준히 하고 있다.

Junggoo Cho was born in 1966 and raised in Bogwang-dong, Seoul. He graduated from the Department of Architecture at Seoul National University. In 2000, he founded guga urban architecture and continued to explore design along the theme of a ‘universal architecture that is close to our life’. Over the course of 20 years of Wednesday survey, the architect has observed and recorded the lives of neighbourhoods and people in Seoul and continued to discover a housing of our time based on the various forms of life which encountered in his research.

안근철은 장소기억 프로젝트의 대표이자, 청계천을지로보존연대의 활동가이다. 도시공학을 전공하고 기록관리학을 공부하고 있다. 마을만들기와 문화재 관련 실무를 경험했고 현재는 도시산업유산과 관련된 이야기와 사물들을 수집하며 기록하는 작업을 한다. 둔촌주공아파트, 문화비축기지 아카이브 프로젝트에 참여했고 현재는 청계천-을지로 지역의 제조업 작업장을 기록중이다. 그는 무엇보다 지역민들과 밀접하게 교류하며 현장의 다양한 감각을 드러내는 기록작업을 추구한다.

Kunchul Ahn is the principal of Memory Place Project and the activist of Cheonggyecheon Anti-Gentrification Alliance. He studied urban engineering and archival science, and practiced community building and cultural heritage conservation. Currently, he collects stories and objects in the live urban context and archives industrial assets to discover its heritage value, focusing on the urban manufacturing area of Cheonggyecheon-Euljiro. Kunchul maximizes the multiple senses for recording by communication and interaction with stakeholders. He has been participating in several archive projects of Dunchon Jugong Apartment Complex and Oil Tank Culture Park.
